"Search Engine Optimization...is bad, isn't it?"
If SEO is bad, depends on what you plan to do. It depends on the kind of information you plan to spread.
The talk will include a short introduction to information architecture for web sites (marking up content with semantic elements in HTML4, XHTML and HTML5 as well as Microformats) to optimize web sites for search engines friendlyness. I will also point out some of the most common mistakes and misconceptions (from a search engine optimization point of view) in CMS systems and web sites, using real life examples from CCC-web sites and web sites of CCC members.
After the short talk (20-30 minutes) there will be an extended Q&A session for webmasters and people interested in the topic of SEO. Webmasters: Bring your web sites to get SEO tips.
The talk will be in German or English. I'm prepared for both - you decide.
