||||
Auf dieser etwa dreistündigen Bustour reisen wir in die Vergangenheit: erfahrt mehr über die spannende, mehr als 800 Jahre alte Geschichte und die fortwährende Modernisierung des Hamburger Hafens!

In der historischen Speicherstadt und an den „50er Schuppen“, den ältesten erhaltenen Hafenanlagen des Hamburger Hafens, lebt die Zeit des konventionellen Güterumschlags mit Kisten, Säcken und Fässern noch einmal auf. Während wir die Köhlbrandbrücke überqueren, haben wir Gelegenheit, aus fast 60 Metern Höhe die atemberaubende Aussicht über das riesige Hafengebiet zu genießen.

Danach schaltet unser Busfahrer die markanten Warnleuchten auf dem Dach ein - und bringt uns mitten hinein ins Geschehen: riesige Containerbrücken, hochbeinige Van Carrier und fahrerlose Transportplattformen - herzlich willkommen in der aufregenden Welt der Logistik!

Während der Rundfahrt erläutern fachkundige Guides alle technischen und logistischen Details und lassen keine eurer Fragen unbeantwortet.

### Terminals
|
||||
Jeweils zwei der vier Terminals stehen uns für die "Tour der Giganten" zur Verfügung:

#### Burchardkai/CTB
|
||||
Der Burchardkai/CTB ist das älteste und größte Terminal für den Containerumschlag im Hamburger Hafen. Hier werden knapp ein Drittel aller Container umgeschlagen. 30 Containerbrücken arbeiten an tausenden von Schiffen, die hier jährlich festmachen. Täglich werden hier mehrere hundert Eisenbahnwagons be- und entladen.

#### Containerterminal Altenwerder/CTA
|
||||
Der Containerterminal Altenwerder/CTA ist ein beeindruckendes Beispiel für eine weitgehend automatisierte Logistik. Aus nächster Nähe zeigen wir euch fahrerlose, computergesteuerte Transportplattformen, die wie von Geisterhand die Container zwischen Kaikante und Blocklager hin und her fahren.

||||
#### O’Swaldkai
|
||||
Auf dem Mehrzweckterminal O’Swaldkai werden jedes Jahr gut 500.000 Tonnen Südfrüchte sowie Autos und Schwergut umgeschlagen. Zusätzlich können die aus Süd- und Mittelamerika kommenden Liniendienste hier Stückgüter und Container umschlagen.

#### Hansaport
|
||||
Der Hansaport ist Deutschlands größtes Seehafenterminal für Eisenerz und Kohle. Von außen unscheinbar, von innen Hightech pur: Hier werden mehr als 10% des gesamten Hamburger Hafenumschlags bewegt. Pro Jahr sind das etwa 15 Millionen Tonnen an eingehender Tonnage.

Während der "Tour der Giganten" befahren wir mit dem Bus Hochsicherheitsgebiete, die dem ISPS-Code (Ausweispflicht) unterliegen. Bitte gebt bei eurer Buchung der Tour die Namen und Vornamen der Teilnehmenden an. Diese Daten müssen wir vorab an den Veranstalter übermitteln.

**Kinder**: Das Mindestalter zur Teilnahme an der Hafentour beträgt 4 Jahre. Bitte beachtet, dass die Fahrt fachlich komplex aufgebaut ist und nur bedingt für kleine Kinder geeignet ist. Wir empfehlen, je nach Interessen und Geduld der Kinder eine Teilnahme frühestens ab ca. 6 bis 8 Jahren.

||||
On this three-hour bus tour, we will travel back in time: learn more about the fascinating, more than 800 years spanning history and ongoing modernization of the Port of Hamburg!
|
||||

||||
In the historic warehouse complex Speicherstadt (German for "warehouse city") and at the oldest preserved port facilities in the Port of Hamburg, the “50er Schuppen” (German for "the 50's sheds"), the time of conventional goods handling with crates, sacks and barrels is brought back to life. While crossing the Köhlbrand Bridge, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking view over the huge port area from a height of almost 60 meters (196.85 feet).

Then, our bus driver will switch on the distinctive warning lights on the roof - and take us right into the heart of the action: huge container gantry cranes, high-legged straddle carriers, driverless transport platforms - welcome indeed to the exciting world of logistics!

### Terminals
|
||||
Two of the four terminals each are available to us for the Tour of the Giants:

#### Burchardkai/CTB
|
||||
Burchardkai/CTB is the oldest and largest container handling terminal in the Port of Hamburg. It handles almost a third of all the containers. 30 container gantry cranes work on thousands of ships that dock here every year. Several hundred rail wagons are loaded and unloaded every day.
|
||||
|
||||
#### Containerterminal Altenwerder/CTA
|
||||
The Altenwerder/CTA container terminal is an impressive example of largely automated logistics. We will show you driverless, computer-controlled transport platforms up close, which move the containers back and forth between the quayside and block storage as if by magic.
|
||||
|
||||
#### O’Swaldkai
|
||||
A good 500,000 tons of tropical fruits, cars and heavy cargo are handled at the O'Swaldkai multi-purpose terminal every year. In addition, the liner services coming from South and Central America can handle general cargo and containers at the multi-purpose terminal.
|
||||
|
||||
#### Hansaport
|
||||
Hansaport is Germany's largest seaport terminal for iron ore and coal. Inconspicuous from the outside, pure high-tech on the inside: More than 10% of Hamburg's total port throughput is handled here, or around 15 million tons of incoming tonnage per year.

||||

**Important:** You will have to present the **original document** of a valid identity card, passport or residence permit on the bus. This also applies to children. Please leave your luggage in the hotel safe or at the wardrobe at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH). Please also note [this further information on the event (DE only)](https://www.jasper.de/faq/). During the "Tour of the Giants", the bus will take us to high-security areas that are subject to the ISPS code (identity card or similar obligatory). Please note that the tour has a complex technical structure and is only suitable for small children to a limited extent.
