39C3 Retro Games Museum 2025-11-08T09:00:00+01:00 In the “playable museum” with computers, consoles, and software from the last 50 years, you can relive your childhood.

At our Retro Gaming Club in Hamburg, visitors can take a trip back in time to the era of home computers, game consoles, and games.

The aim of the Retro Gaming Club is to document and bring to life the development of computer technology and video game culture from the 1970s to the turn of the millennium. The collection is built up through targeted purchases and donations of devices and accessories.

In addition to the opportunity to play and try things out, we also offer regular readings, lectures, and themed events for professional exchange. At our museum, you can relive the history of computer games and technology for yourself at almost 100 gaming stations. We are a playable museum—everything can and should be used and tried out.

From Pong to the C64, from the Amiga to consoles from Sega, Nintendo, Atari, and various exotic brands, as well as a classic PC network, you can take an educational and fun journey through time, either alone or in groups (550 people are no problem). The location is also ideal for small events or social evenings for friends, companies, or even school trips and other educational institutions.
